Multi Monitor - Desktop Icons change position

Hi guys,

i need some help with my monitor settings.

I Have 1 Montior and 1 TV connected to my Nvdia GPU. Resolution 1920 * 1080
The PC Monitor is my primary Monitor and the TV just duplicate the pictures, so far so good.

So as i start a source game (tested csgo, portal2) everything works fine, till closing and going back to windows desktop.

My desktop icons changed positions. (like u start a game with wrong resolution)

In other games this bug is not showing up yet.

It seems like the source games (or even valve games?) will watch for (new) hardware at startup, i also notice a "bigger mouse" in steam overlay (which may depends on TV found at startup?)

Only solution for now is always to disable TV in Nvidia settings before starting a game.

Is there a posibility to force use only primary Monitor of your choice?

To the best of my knowledge there isn't a way to do it within windows. I use Display Fusion which offers some pretty cool features for multi monitors and usually goes on sale during the big steam sales.

i will look into it next days, will it help for this sitiation i have?!

one more info:

TV is set by driver to (1) via HDMI and the PC Monitor as (2) via DVI.
I need to say (2) is primary and then duplicate.... maybe i can change input DVI to (1) anyhow?

I use a "workaround" called DesktopOK

This app save your icon positions and restore it after they moved away by just 1 click.
