Trade Hold WITH mobile authenticator enabled

Can somebody explain to me please, why can't i get my trades for the next 3 days, although i have authenticator enabled since the beginning of this?

the other person doesnt use mobile auth. dont cancel your pending trade, or you will be suspended from trading for 7 days. this happended to me as a mobile auth user an hour ago.

yeah and that site is a bot which explains why it doesnt use mobile auth. this is the end of automated trading. dont cancel this trade or you will not be able to trade for 7 days or so.

I don't actually believe it would work like that. I heard valve whitelists most of the trade sites. Even if not, admins of this site were prepared for this, and they were one of the first to inform us about the escrow.

and I cant actually believe valve would punish me even though ive been using the steam authenticator. if you got a better explanation for why you cannot trade with an automatic bot site go ahead. no matter if you use steam auth, if the other party doesnt use it, you get your 3 days trade hold anyways.

Happened to me tonight as well. I've been using the mobile authenticator since it came out and trade confirmations as well. The message on my trade was that I have not used the mobile authenticator for over 7 days *(I have yet to see this "feature" documented anywhere) and that caused the hold. The problem with that is I use it almost daily including the login to view the pending trade. It seems the tracking mechanism and this addition to the additional security is not working as designed.

Do keep in mind you need to have the mobile authenticator active for 7+ days AND have email confirmations for trade turned ON (Inventory -> More -> Privacy Settings)

yeah, i had my 'mobile authenticator' active, to hoover up a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of gems from the marketplace, (loading bluestacks every time i bought a game or something was a ♥♥♥♥♥ though)

but ofc i didn't turn off that annoying trade verification ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I had both enabled as you described since Nov. 30 and yet I've been locked out for canceling a trade. This is either a big joke or a buggy mess that needs to be reworked at some point.

Ok, you actually have to use both -mobile and mail confirmation to trade. However, you have to confirm Evert trade with a phone, which is really pain in the ass and will negativly affect the economy. I imagine how trading looked like before and what it nas become, and it night get even worse.

I find the authenticator more convenient than confirming through email personally, though i understand many of you are comparing to having email confirmations turned off, but you'll need to understand Valve doesn't find that acceptable anymore since that still makes you a target for hijacking, and they want to discourage that.

I have traded with scrap.tf since holds went live. I didn't suffer a trade hold.

Guys, help me pls. I already cancel and need to wait for 7days and the Trade Offer Canceled. Thats mean my item is gone or need to wait 7days cause at betting site, didn't show anything (item that i won)
