How to contact Steam support ?
I'm unable to contact Steam support for a particular game in my library. All the support options direct me to the devs directly. But according to them the issue I have with the game is coming from Steam and I don't know how to contact them ?

What is the issue about?

If it's troubleshooting technical issues such as launching etc, you'd be better off posting in that game's own forum.

In the end, support will just redirect you there anyway.

Support for games goes directly to the developer. Steam doesn’t provide support for 3rd party games

If your game is crashing, etc try launching steam then unplugging internet cord or turn off wifi then launch game and that should solve your issue.
How do you even know what the problem is that this solves?

Go to valve's website https://www.valvesoftware.com and email the people in customer support but they might just tell you to contact support on steam by clicking help then steam support. .
This is bad advice.

post in the game's form for game issues by clicking the game then community hub then the game's discussion tab.
This is the correct course of action.

I tried posting on the game forum directly but didn't get any answers yet (the game is 2 years old and the forum seems pretty quiet now). I've also been in contact with the developper directly and after some troubleshooting he said the problem is coming from the Steam UI so I would need to contact them directly. But I don't know how to do that really since all the Steam support tabs for the game forward me back to the devs directly, I just can't find a way to contact Steam directly

Have you tried the solution I provided which is launching steam then unplugging internet cord or turn off wifi then launch game.

Have you tried contacting support through valve's website.

You will have to post in the game's form for help. It may take awhile for anyone responds. If you can't wait then just refund the game by contacting support.

Explain the game and the issue your experiencing here and I could assist you better.

If you tried contacting developers and they say it is a steam issue then contact steam, by using valves website or simply clicking help then steam support then my account then data related to my account then scroll to bottom to contact support.

Make sure you provide details about your issue and what the developers of the game said.

Since valve owns steam, you can contact valve directly at Valve's website https://www.valvesoftware.com

If you contact support on valves website, make sure you include your case number when you open a ticket on steam. Sometimes valve does not respond so if you use website, email all of them in the customer support page but no guarantee of response.

Since your supposed to contact them on steam itself but you can try both.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have the same question but for different reasons. My kid's account was stolen via a link in a message from a trusted sender. The account email is now changed as is of course the password and i can't figure out the correct course of action and really want to contact a human to sort this out.

Contacting Valve directly is not going to get you very far. Please describe the issue and we might be able to point you in the proper direction.

Thank you, basically the game starts to load where I can see the logos of the developpers & producers and then I'm just stuck at a grey screen with the mouse cursor. The devs told me this is a Steam issue and following GSharp740 advices I was finally able to contact Steam support who told me this is a devs problem...so I just asked for a refund few days ago :(

The Steam Submit Ticket form is accessible as follows (this works!):

1. From your logged-in Steam overhead menu, select "help".
2. Scroll down page and select "Steam Community"
3. Select "I need help with something not listed here" (at bottom of list of options)
4. Select "Contact Steam Support".

Fill out your ticket and then pray to the Steam gods (they are generally good to respond)! Good Luck.

Not sure OP needs that information two years later.
