Steam://run/ does not work for me idk why
the command start+r on the keyboard let's you open a tab that can execute existing or non existing files or game, i tryed it on bloodharvest (a game that no more exist in the steam store but i already had long ago) but after i use "Steam://run/(and the game id)/" the steam download tab opens, after that steam just open the store home and does nothing. i tryed asking friends of mine, and they can easely download that game with the same procedure AND can even download games that they don't even own. I'm trying to understand why i have this issue (i already know that my pc's not the issue but my account is) if any of you know how to "fix" this or even the issue itself please help me out. :steamsad::praisesun:

Run isn't the proper command. The command is "rungameid", thus "steam://rungameid/<appID>". You can confirm this by using the library to create a shortcut, then checking its properties.

that url lookin' thing should be posted in a browser, which is already hooked up to launch the appropriate function from steam. Thats how one installs Codename Gordon anyway.

steam://install/92

What other games are your friends testing against? Free games like Codename Gordon will work, but Blood Harvest is(/was) not a free game. In order to install non-free games you need to own a license for them. If your friends are downloading non-free games they do not own, either their accounts are the ones behaving oddly, or (far more likely) they do own the game and have forgotten or are just lying to you.

You can double check if Steam says you own Blood Harvest through the Support page, but from the phrasing it sounds like you do not. Using the RUN command when you don't own the game redirects you to that game's Store page. Since the game has been removed from Steam, it's Store page redirects to the main Store page. Assuming you do not own a license, your experience is the expected outcome.

i actually fixed the issue with blood harvest and now it works just fine (as i recall the game was free before it died), anyway i don't know about A.V.A alliance tho, because that was a f2p game if i do remember right

for example if i try to install zula europe it doesn't work (even tho the game was free, and i don't own it) same with A.V.A, a friend of mine (and i do know that he did not have blood harvest before on his account) got the game, and A.V.A too (tough he had a.v.a on his account)

So you're trying add games that are not already activated on your account. Even for F2P games, the ID must be registered first. That's the "install" command. Honestly, if you're toying with adding "hidden" games, then just use https://steamdb.info/ as it will have the install commands on each game page.
