Sending $5 to friend's account

Sending $5 to friend's account

I would like to somehow give my friend $5 on Steam for Christmas, but you cannot directly send money to their account nor is there a $5 gift card (checked at GameStop). How can I do this?

You can't send money. Instead, buy a game from their wishlist for them.

I don't believe you can send actual money, but I'd think that maybe asking what (s)he wants and then gifting it would be a grand idea!

But I'm guessing OP wants to make his friend's account unlimited, so sending a gift that is worth $5 to a friend will not make their account unlimited.

No, their account is already unlimited, I just want to send them $5 so they can buy the game they really want the most.

Oh, nevermind then. You can't send money over Steam, but you can buy a gift from the Steam Store that your friend wants, and send it to him.

Have your friend put something on the market for $5 and then you buy it from him. Now he has $5.

Keep in mind that a cut is taken from every market transaction, so he won't get the entire $5.

What do you mean money ? or you mean Steam wallet ?

You can send steam wallet to your friend directly,
Now you can send your friend a steam wallet using Steam Gift Cards.

of course you need use paypal or bank card, You can purchase Steam digital gift cards for any user including limited account that you have had on your friends list for at least 3 day.

Just remember if your friend account are limited, steam gift card cant remove his limitation easy word like example if you send 10$ steam gift card and 10$ you give will be yours so if he spend the 5$ or 10$ steam digital gift he wont unlock his limited account.

You can buy steam gift cards over steam now.
