Removing Color Filter from Steam's Game Details Background view?
Basically, it's a little thing that's been under my skin for a little while with Steam. I've got some great screen shots that I like to see the Client use as my background for games, as it picks through the little library I've assembled. But there's an odd color filter or something, that gives a tinge of red, a green or blue hue, things like that. And if I'm being honest ... I'd just like to see those screenshots in the way I took them.

Is there anyway for the user to turn those off, be it a little more in the advanced / power user area than not? I sure didn't see any options for it in the regular UI of the client.

Thanks a bunch for anybody that can help or even give me some ideas or directions on where to go / look. I was thinking of contacting Steam Support, but it's not like I'm locked out of my account or a game thinks my key's invalid, etc. Anyways, look forward to your suggestions. :)

I am not sure but i think there are actual threads on google how to change steam's interface color. I just rather have it original without messing anything up.

"Interface" might be a good word for my google proxy, thanks. I've been doing searches including things like "Change / Remove Steam Game Detail View Background Color Filter" and all sorts of combinations of that, with zero success. Thanks, Kal-El. Worst comes to worst, I may just PM Support. It's kind of a hard thing to describe sometimes, seeing as how people will get confused and think your talking about the Skin or something. :)

So, it doesn't seem like there's anything like an immediate answer to this issue* though there are certainly some starting tips. Seems if you don't like the Filter (or Overlay, I guess) the only thing to do is install a different Steam Skin. ... Dammit.

Look for the CSS Plug-in called Art Hero through Decky Loader.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
