How do I use Nvidia Geforce Experience with Steam Games?
I would like to optimise my games with Nvidia Geforce Experience but I cannot find the files that correspond to my steam games.

Can you explain it a bit more? What files are you looking for? Are you trying to find your steam games? It's usually in the steam folder then steam apps then common and the rest of the games are there and you add the exe to it.

Do you have NGE set to scan your steam parent folder for games? You may need to hit the game list refresh icon after doing so.

I need to add the steam folder so NGE can scan it but I dont know where it is

Do you have more then one hard drive? If not, it is likely C:\Program Files (x86)/Steam

I'm having the same issue. While using Nvidia GeForce I've added

C\programs files (x86)/Steam\steamapps\commom

and Geforce still wont add it to my games.... I'm trying to get the settings for sleeping dogs definitive.... It is on their list for optimization.

So what do i have to do to get nvidia to recognize the game?

I don't see the definitive version on the list, just the regular one

The parent folder solution works fine. Not all games are optimizable by NVIDIA though (there's a list online). :)

I find even when I add the library folders on my various drives manually it still can't find games. I can't believe Nvidia doesn't have this fixed, as it is the games feature of their software is pretty much 100% useless, if it can't find steam games why even bother 90% of all pc games are steam games!!

It's really easy to set up but I wouldn't bother if I was you.

1. supports very few games
2. the programm does the graphics settings wrong sometimes
3. recording doesn't work with all games

It takes a little longer but it is worth it to skim through benchmarks and adjust the graphics options to your PC. One other thing is the programm doesn't take your likings into account. At that point you might aswell buy yourself a console if you don't know anything about graphics settings or don't care and want someone else to do the work (poorly) for you.

If they would have fleshed out that recording feature I would have keept it since it's 10x times better than fraps.

Nvidia does not seem to care about this, thread: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/528251/geforce-experience-can-39-t-find-my-games-sticky-thread/ It has never worked for me (on multiple systems). Parent folder or running as Admin also does not work...

Aren't only certain games supported by the GeForce experience? I don't think you can add games that aren't supported
