Strange problem with Windows 10 and Oculus Rift DK2
I have an Oculus Rift DK2 connected to my computer. Usually it doesn't show up in the display configuration. However, when Steam starts up and whenever it displays an out-of-game notification, the DK2 will appear for a few seconds and then go away again. As a side effect Windows reinitializes all displays. My main monitor reacts to signal changes rather slowly, so this means I'm staring at a black screen for about five seconds every time Steam displays a notification.

My operating system is Windows 10. The computer has a Skylake CPU and GeForce GTX 980. The Oculus runtime is not installed because I mostly use it in Linux for my own development.

Has anyone else seen anything similar and perhaps discovered how to avoid the problem? Disconnecting the DK2 is an obvious solution but I'd like to avoid frequent rummaging behind the computer if possible.
