How to install EMPIRE:TOTAL WAR on a new computer after the first attempt to install it (on the previous PC) failed?
Having read various comments on EMPIRE:Total War in different forums, I realized that my problem is one that it seems many players faced when initially attempting to install this particular game. But from the start: I bought the game way back in 2009 in a shop for over
€ 60.00 (about GBP 50.00), quite expensive I thought. You can imagine then what I thought and said when the installation on my old laptop failed after I had entered the keycode etc. with steam. I threw the game into a draw and forgot about it until a few days ago. In the meantime, after purchasing ROME II and NAPOLEON, using my steam account I had created back in 2009, I remembered my old EMPIRE game and tried to install it on my new computer. Well, what happened? I received the notification that the game had already been registered (it had, by me in 2009) and that my installation was invalid. However, the game HAS NOT been registered on to my account so I decided to contact STEAM SUPPORT to solve the case. My frustration gained a high when I created a Steam Support Account and found that only queries of certain categories can be answered and that specific questions can only be dealt with in the community forum. So now, to you my friends, at last to my question:

- How can I get STEAM to accept a second installation/ registration of a game legally purchased years ago that failed to run after being initially installed, i.e. after a STEAM account had been created and the valid product keys had been accepted?

I would be much obliged to any of my Brothers in Wargames (or Sisters!) who could provide me with a solution to my problem. Thanks.

P.S. A final word to STEAM;
I think your alleged SUPPORT is one of the worst that still exists on the internet, as if years of development have passed you by without being noticed. Not every valid question OF YOUR CUSTOMERS (!!!) can be answered by categories of generic Q & A. What you need is a team of HUMANS - heard of them? They are the idiots who buy your games and pay your salaries.

You can't get them to accept the key again. You need to figure out what the other account is. This steam account is from 2010, so you have another account somewhere.
