Fuller Game page for non-Steam games that are available on Steam
I have Rainbow 6 Siege and a bunch of other games I acquired outside of Steam (gifts from family, or otherwise) and I wanted to add them to my Steam library but have a bit more than the title and the play button. R6S is otherwise available like many other games, but if I add the non steam vers on to my library all I get is the boring game page (title and button to launch), Since this game is on Steam is there a way I can get the full game page (links to storepage, community, news etc) to keep things looking consistent? Kind of like iTunes' "Get album info" button - for those that don't know what that does, if you rip a CD to your computer, in iTunes you can right click it and select 'get album info' this will then check for album artwork and other info about the songs etc.

TL;DR any way is it possible to get a fuller game page for non steam games that are otherwise available on steam?

Only games purchased in Steam can be added to your profile like that. Buying on other sites or DRM's means Valve don't receive any money so you aren't entitled to the paid community space like you would if you purchased in the Steam Store.

I was thinking that was the case. But I (and I'm sure MANY others) have poured so much money into Steam that since the info is available anyway it'd be nice to keep my library looking consistant. AND it keeps me on steam whilst I browse the games' content, making me more inclined to use steam more and buy more games... the community space is hardly paid either, you can access any community space of any game whether you own it or not. It'd be next to no work on steams part at all and as I mentioned would be a good device for customer retention.

That's what I'm saying, I OWN the game. I got it on Uplay (since it's a ubisoft game)

Valve didn't make a penny out of your purchasing it through a rival DRM. If you wanted your library to remain consistent; you would have had to pay Ubisoft's marked-up £50 price for the privillage.
