Divinity II Directors Cut Controller Support.
Hi community.

I was wondering if anyone can confirm whether the Dualshock 4 or other similar controller is compatible with this game? Preferably without the need of additional remapping software. Any advice is highly appreciated.

As a rule, Sony controllers tend not to be compatible with MicroSoft operating systems - I'm presuming you're using Windows? If you are then you'll probably need additional software to get that controller working with anything you buy from Steam.

Hi Brujeira.
I am indeed using Windows, specifically 8.1. The DS4 has been working with several games for me both on Steam and off without remapping or third party drivers. To elaborate my question is more regarding controller support for this particular game as I can't find any indication that it has any. That being said the likes of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 didn't have official controller support but the DS4 strangely works with that game without remapping. Apologies if my post may seem confusing.

PC Gaming Wiki says it supports controllers natively, though I don't know if a PS4 controller would work or not to be honest.

Ah, yeah... maybe I should have checked the store page before posting. It doesn't support controllers at all unfortunately. You might be able to get help from a specialist forum dedicated to the game itself - the Steam forum for it is worth a try but you may have to go further afield.

As for the Star Wars KOTOR games... well, they had console versions - I don't think that version of Divinity II does. Maybe they cut out all the code for controllers if it was a PC only version?

Hi habitualaction.

Had a read of the page you provided, it seems that contains the answer I seek. I could not find the answer when I had a look on google and was unaware that a wiki page had been created specifically for PC game system requirments and the like. I appreciate the help. It seems that if controller support is available I should just be able to natively remap the controlls without third party software either with my DS4 or another controller.

Again I appreciate the help and will give it a go.

Thanks.
