DISK WRITE ERROR

I bought Cities Skylines for 13,99 and wanted to download it, but it says DISK WRITE ERROR when i press INSTAL. please help, just wasted 14 euros...

Solutions

The first step is to verify that your hard drive is in good health and that all bad sectors have been marked as such by the drive.

Windows:

1. Click Start > (My) Computer
   
2. Locate the hard drive Steam is installed on. By default, this is C:
   
3. Right-click this drive and select Properties.
   
4. Click the Tools tab.
   
5. In the Error-checking category, click Check now...
   
6. In the dialog that appears, check "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors."
   
7. Click Start.
   
8. Allow the disk check to complete. This process may take up to several hours, depending on the size of your hard drive and the number of errors.

After this step:

Verify your game cache / files

• From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
  
• Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
  
• Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

I did do the disk check but there was no error in it, and when i right click on Cities Skylines i cant press on Verify integrity of game cache...

You can't press on it because the game installation isn't complete. Check your computer and delete all city skyline files (search for them on all drives (C: D: etc.))

Hm, I can't help you anymore. Try to install it on a other drive (if you had one) and move them to your other hard drive.

I’ve got the same problem. Followed all instructions yet no luck in the download. Worst part is it’s a small update to a game already installed.
