How Do I Know If My PC Can Run a Game?
I'm very new to Steam, I have ignored PC gaming my entire life but now with all the Steam sales, I can't say that PC isn't the way to go. I was looking to buy Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate http://store.steampowered.com/app/282530 but I'm just curious if I can even run the game. The majority of the stuff I like are old school games and not that taxing on my computer. But I've always wanted to play this game and never wanted to pay the console prices.

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz
Manufacturer Intel
Speed 2.6 GHz
Number of Cores 2
Chipset AMD Radeon R7 M270
Dedicated Memory 3.0 GB
Total Memory 4.0 GB
Pixel Shader Version 5.0
Vertex Shader Version 5.0
Memory 16 GB

These are my specs. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Sorry, I didn't make this clear at all in my initial post... but the specs are all greek to me. I have no idea what they mean or what is comparable.

You need to learn specs if you're going to be a PC gamer.

I mostly play old stuff like Wolfenstein or indie games that are 100mb. This is kinda the exception to the rule.

Install cpu-z and gpu-z and post your hardware here or on the castlevania boards. Both are freeware and free of malware as well as invaluable tools every pc owner should have.

Keep in mind that this site (and similar ones) is not 100% accurate, which is why you need to learn stuff yourself.

Yeah but he doesn't know what's in his rig, thus post #5

I downloaded the program, it told me sort of what the system requirements site did. Reason I asked is I usually just check the system requirements site but this Castlevania game wasn't on there.

But you don't know me... there for post 1 -_-

OP, I will see if your PC can run it.

OP, here are the minimum specs;

MINIMUM:
OS: Windows XP with Service Pack 3
Processor: 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processeor or AMD equivalent
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Graphics: Direct X9 compatible video card with 512Mb RAM
Storage: 2 GB available space

I think you can run it, but the only thing would be your OS, what is your OS?

Windows. Even I know you gotta have a compatible OS, but thanks for not overlooking. Maybe the next guy will be dumber than me! My friend also finally texted me back and said I should be fine, he's gonna teach me how to read these specs but he's working and I didn't wanna miss out on this awesome deal.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.
