Garrys mod isnt exactly the best game for a ten year old, but its actually not that bad if you just limit the mods and such.
Besides, just because it says 18+ does not mean it's a devil worshipping gore-fest. Both Hatred (the most violent, officially released game since Postal 2), and Elder Scrolls V are 18+ games but Elder Scrolls does not even come close to being as violent. I wouldn't ever buy a ten year-old Hatred but Elder Scrolls? Hell, yeah.
If I had a ten year-old who wanted games for his or her XBox, these are games I would have no trouble with he/ she playing.
Halo: Master Chief Collection
Alien Isolation
Fallout 4
Shovelknight
Rise Of The Tombraider
Starwars: Battlefront
Forza [Motorsport 6, Horizon 2]
Batman Arkham Knight
I heard Splatoon is a popular and fun game.
Maybe, but the rhyming can be too difficult for a kid to understand. The story isn't complex though, basic good vs evil thing with themes like growing up and taking responsibility and stuff, which I guess would fit.
