Steam on Ubuntu (15.10) not starting

Hey guys, I just installed Ubuntu because I have to common Windows 10 auto repair tool loop issue. So I gave linux a shot. So i installed Ubuntu and proceed to installing steam. I think I got it (Im a linux noob). But whenever I go and search for steam and click on it, it never starts. So instead of installing it with the Software center I used a code in the terminal:

sudo apt-get update
and everything goes fine

sudo apt-get install steam
and get this
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

I proceed to type:

steam
and get
Running Steam on ubuntu 15.10 32-bit
STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically
Installing breakpad exception handler for appid(steam)/version(0)
libGL error: unable to load driver: r600_dri.so
libGL error: driver pointer missing
libGL error: failed to load driver: r600
libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
^C

bug with amd drivers you need install proprietary amd drivers + OpenGL extensions(libGL) + configure X serwer
