Disable Xbox 360 Controller Guide Button Launching Steam (Windows 10)

I recently upgraded to windows 10 and whenever steam is running (including minimized / "closed") pressing the guide button will open steam and pressing it again launches BPM. This is extremely annoying, because I have a program to turn off my controller (wireless) by holding the guide button. If I hold and release the button it will launch BPM right away. The only way for me to turn off the controller is to hold down the button, then close steam with my mouse, release the button, and then close steam again. It is extremely annoying and often leads to launching BPM by accident. You would think there is a way to disable it, but I have searched the forums and google with no luck. I wouldn't even mind if I had to disable BPM, but there should be some setting to fix this!

Hey I have the same issue too. It even does it when I'm playing an non-steam game or emulating something. Did you find a solution yet?

I only know of an indirect "way" for Windows 7 and 8.

Is there a fix for this issue on Linux? (or an efficient way to notify valve about this?)

It happens to me when using Controller Companion. I emailed the creator to see if there's a way to change it. When I exit Controller Companion the ps button doesn't open bp mode and when it's running it does.

Check your keybinds in Controller Companion settings. It's set by default to open BP with the xbox button, and to turn off controller with Back + button. Change it to Nothing

I figured that out when I contacted the author. I didn't know you have bindings. I acutally use ps4 controller with ds4 windows and have the controller turn off when holding button for 3 seconds. Now i programed controller companion for launchbox big picture mode to start when I press RT + Select at the same time :)
