Auto-install after game activation stopped working
When I activated keys on Steam in the past, it would then proceed to the install setup and start downloading the new game. Now it just activates the keys but I have to go into my game library and click on install for each new game that was activated to get it to install. Did something change or is there a setting to have it automatically download the game after activating keys?

Same for me and I want that functionallity back because I usually only show my installed games. So everytime I activate a new product I have to switch to "games", scroll through the list, click install and then switch to "installed" again.

Funny, my Steam never did this, and now has started to do that and I find it extremely annoying. Does anyone know how to toggle this behavior?

I have that same problem since a few days, when I activate a game it launch the installation and that's really annoying me. Tried to go through setting and all but I can't find a solution. Even tried to put steam in beta.

I'm so happy it's back :D
Really should be an option, though.

Wow - I started this thread in 2015! I am seeing that the auto-install is back but I agree that it should be an option that you can turn on or off. When I purchase a game, I want to immediately install it but I can see that others might not want that to happen.
Back then it wouldn't ask me to install it after activation but now it does and it legit irritates me

I would really like to be able to disable this. I activate a lot of games and never install them right when I activate the key.

It's so annoying. Just make it an option so those who don't want it, can uncheck it.
