Minecraft Windows 10!!!!!!!!!!

Minecraft on windows 10 just will not work. I make a new world and it says the program is not responding. Here is the error:

Non - Steam game, you can only verify Steam games.

I got it to work, but now... mods. They are crashing constantly

This is best in the games fourm that is why each game got its own forum for help and chat this is for steam client help. Post in the mincraft fourm you will get more help that way then here.
