However since you lost your cd manual you have no good way to prove you own the account should you lose access to it. So don't forget that account info and don't loose the email account that you use with Steam.
If you want to install the game, install Steam, log in, go to Library, find the game, double click it and there you go.
You don't need to use the key again.
This is how it works when you buy the game from Steam, they don't email you a key or something. The game just appears in the list in Steam and you install it.
Sucks but thats life, always annoying when extra features need the key to be activated after the fact.
there is no option of ''View CD Key''...
I recommend starting a "catalogue" of your keys online, storing them to google drive or somewhere else secure. It's saved me a lot of heartbreak heh
Download and install is the same thing. If you want to play somewhere else just download steam on that PC and log in.
Either way that key does nothing you can't do right now and is useless for other accounts then yours.
