Steam Black screen on store/community
I am having an issue where the steam store and community areas of the steam client are simply displaying a black screen. The friends and library work completely fine.

I have done the 'delete html5cache' suggestion from google earch but that did not help.

This is exactly what I am also experiencing, but on Win10 Pro;

Restart Steam and PC. That might help.

There seems to be something wonky with the community/store in the last couple of days. For me those pages just take forever to load, and eventually ask me to login (which doesn't work anyway). It's good to know we're not alone though:

Yeah something weird is going on. I mean I had to login to the website store to purchase Warhammer because the client store page is broken.

Valve needs to fix this.

Browse to your Steam installation (Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\)
Right click on Steam.exe (or bin\steamwebhelper.exe), choose Properties
Click on the Compatibility tab
Uncheck any boxes that are checked, and click Apply
Then, click the ""change settings for all users" button
Again, make sure none of these boxes are checked, and click Ok
Click Ok to close any open dialog boxes.
Double click on Steam.exe to launch Steam.
Re-test the issue.

This actually worked, thanks

So basically you have to change the compatibility setting. If you have it set to run as Admin, turn it off & it should work. I tested it multiple times & every time I set it back to run as Admin, the Store/Community pages wouldn't load. Great fix!
