I was thinking you were reporting the teamspeak method but you are a victim.
I mean every other email i receive is shown like items that i purchased however, when it comes to support system email validation, I dont get anything.
last time I check it was also a bit of an outdated service when it comes to security.
can not be an issue , make as much support accounts as you like.

edit: support accounts are not steam accounts.
what are you confused about?
did you make a support account with that gmail?
you are asking if you should keep the steam account?
what else can you do with it?
now what makes you think you need to verify anything after that?
are you here?
https://help.steampowered.com/
or are you here?
https://support.steampowered.com/ticketlist.php
you make this really complicated and take a long pause to respond.
if you are at help.steampowered.com I can not help you.
all my explaning was for support.steampowered.com.
just logout at support.steampowered.com and make a "new" support account with your gmail.
the same way you are posting here but than write it in the ticket.
no weird verification links and what not.
