Paypal Dispute Story Number 2134578
Hey guys!

Here's another story about this topic. I'm actually looking for information as well.
So, I recently had my Paypal Account under disputes because of someone charging me back for no reason. With this chargeback Paypal cancelled all my recent payments (Steam, Opskins, kinguin). Now the cases have been closed by Paypal and the result of the steam cases were the money getting sent back to me. Needless to say, my Steam account is temporarily trade banned and I can't purchase anything from the Store/Market.

Now, does anyone know of a way to get this money to Steam? Because that's what I want: It's their money, not mine. I don't know why Paypal returned it to me in the first place.

I've sent a few tickets to the Steam Support but I thought I could gather some info while I wait 2 weeks for their answer.

Once PP closes the dispute, there is no recourse. You must reverse the charge-back so Valve gets the funds back from the original payment method.

How can I do that though? I didn't chargeback or open any disputes. It was all Paypal alone

PayPal only perform chargebacks at the account owners request. Does the PP acount only house bank account info attributed to yourself? If you used funds fraudulently belonging to another person and they requested a chargeback; you are liable.

If they are willing to reopen the initial dispute and reverse the chargeback; you will need to authorise that and then contact Support when it's done. If they aren't; there isn't much you can do because Valve require the data specific to those transactions which were disputed. From past cases; there is no other negociable way to pay Valve back and many users have seen their accounts permanently locked. Contact PayPal immediately and see if this is possible.
