Downloading Queue
I have for a very long time, refused to use my D-Link wireless USB adapter to my Desktop PC. Whenever I try to download something on Steam, it results in Steam putting the game in queue and refusing to download.
Example:

Downloading rate turns 0.

Then it queues. Always.

I've tried changing download regions, reinstalling Steam, changing Router completely.
Nothing seems to work. I can play games already installed online just fine, but downloading is ass. Does it have to do with Steam being so fickle that it constantly wants a perfect connection online to work?

Or your wireless USB adaptor loses connection with the massive traffic Steam is causing. This is entirely possible. Have you tried another adaptor? You can also see if limiting Steam's download speed helps.

Downloading over Ethernet cable is totally fine and no problems there, and I read somewhere that Steam needs constant connection, otherwise it'll do exactly what I said.

I have indeed tried limiting the download speed, but to no progress there either. I will try buying another adapter and see if that helps. Thanks for the tips.

If downloading via ethernet works, then it's indeed your adaptopr that's bad.
As for "constant connection", maybe. But a WLAN adaptor should provide a constant connection.

I've got a netgear n600 dual band USB wifi adapter, and I'm having this issue as well. Start a download, and then it just queues, repeatedly. Took 2 days to download ark, and that was me hitting download now about 100 times in the last few hours of the download... The adapter is brand new, and has no issues with anything, except possibly Steam. Leads me to think its an issue with Steam, not the adapter. I've tried changing regions, limiting DL speed, and reinstalling Steam. Nothing has worked...
