Hi. I live in Brazil, state of Paraná, city of Maringá. I can't put my phone number in my account info. Looks like the steam client thinks the number is wrong. My phonenumber have the format [phone]. In some regions of Brazil, the format is already [phone], but not in all territory yet.

I have the same problem (Germany). My mobile phone number is *one digit too short*, so steam wont accept it. Tied to add an extra zero but the SMS never arrived.

I failed also to contact support! It is not possible to create a ticket!

You type it in steam like this +xx xxxxxxxx (without the 0 at number start)

Done that. My Phone number is just one number too short +xx abcdefghij. Steam wants +xx abcdefghijk :-(

No, up to j is ok.

Just testet it again in the web at store.steampowered.com/phone/add (Geman version).
Up to j is definitely NOT OK! Steam will not activate the continue button until k is entered!
(With the steam client I got the same result.)

You enter a space after +xx?

The space after the country code does not matter.

And I got the same problem. My phone number got 13 digits including country code and leading plus sign, and apparently that's 1 digit short to be accepted by steam.

Same for me (Germany).
However, I managed to trick it by padding the number with a 0 between country code and area/network code. Even though that's technically wrong.

My region changed from 8 digits to 9 (plus area code, plus country code) . The problem is that steam does not allow to save... and other problem and nowhere in knowledge base there is a field to make them this question, only pre made questions with their answers... come on... that's ridiculous... my entire county with about 8 million people in it, thousands of steam users can't setup their (our) phone on Steam). Please solve it!
