How long am I going to have to look at that "You do not have a phone number associated with this account". I tried entering my home phone number but it's asking for SMS code. I don't have a cell phone so am I going to have to look at that banner from now to eternity?

I think you should just retry it again, the thing's not mandatory you know. I don't think you'll lose access to your account, I believe this is just an additional way to receive that code thing that's emailed to you by SteamGuard when you attempt to log in from another device (please correct me if I'm wrong). Once you've submitted your number, you have the option to send the message again if you didn't receive it for some reason.

Well s/he's angrier than it seems like need be IMO, but seems accurate. So weird how fast we all switched to cell phones :-O

All I have is a landline.. I REFUSE to get a cell phone.. and especially cannot stand being asked all the time for my phone mumber on steam..

Is this a "requirement" now that I absolutely have to have a cell phone to game.. ???

If it is not required I would like it that I stop getting asked.

If it keeps asking then just provide a mobile cellular phone number to get it to stop asking.
