Phone Number

How long am I going to have to look at that "You do not have a phone number associated with this account". I tried entering my home phone number but it's asking for SMS code. I don't have a cell phone so am I going to have to look at that banner from now to eternity?

Not even sure I want to link my phone anymore as apperently once linked you can't get steam guard codes to your email. I use my phone alot, but that doens't mean I don't misplace it from time to time so getting all steamguard messages to phone isn't a good option. Would be nice if I could use my phone only for password changes.

Thats not true, i can easily remvove the Authenticator in my Steam Guard settings if i want to.

Same here. I tried with spacing and replacing the + with 00, sometimes thats the problem but nothing worked.

I get the exact same thing. It seems to want it in the format (for the United States) +1AAANNNNNNN where a is area code and n is your number.

I've tried my AT&T cell phone. I've tried my Google Voice number. I tried putting spaces in. I tried putting dashes in. It ain't workin.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea to have it associated (though I sure wish it said "we won't use this for marketing!".

Let's just hope this'll get fixed real soon... It's so annoying when someone releases something when it's not supposed to be released yet.
