steam won't let me buy a 4 pack of a game I have

So yesterday I bought sanctum 2, and I thought it was fun, and wanted to get the 4 pack to gift to some of my friends. When I went to buy it though, it said I already owned the game but I could still gift it, but neithet the buy for myself or buy as a gift option was available. Basically it won't let me get the 4 pack to send then all as gifts. Does anyone know how to get around this?

No, that's how it works, if you already own it, you can't buy a 4 pack.

This is not how it works. Buying as a gift should always work.

It won't let me click the button that says buy as a gift or buy for myself

Would I be able to gift a 4 pack to myself from another account?

A pragmatic solution.

even if you gift a 4 pack to yourself you will only ever get 3 giftable copies to gift to friends, you would not be able to unpack the 4 pack since you already own it.

so one of them goes into your library?
i guess thats ok since its on sale anyway, i dont really have any other options
I can't refund my current copy because i played it for more than 2 hours before i decided to get the 4 pack
