Question about LOCKED and Community Banned account
i got a friend who was playing csgo and after the match was over she got kicked out of the game getting an error she is not alowed to play on any VAC servers + trade + community activity including chat and so on + everything got banned for her. i checked her profile there was no trade ban niether a vac ban but i used steamrep.com to use her ID and steamrep and also steambans show "community banned" the warning she gets says the account is locked by OWNER and in order to get it unlocked she has to provide some info to support including cd key she has redeemed or whatever code which proves she is the owner (she did that) now here is my question what exactly cause this ban? because she did not change password or email the only thing she does is playing on 2 computers one work other one home computer could it be the cause?

if anyone has any experience or advise i am glad to hear maybe it can help others too, to avoid this kind of troubles!

so self lock on steamrep and steambans logo is "community banned"?

edit: the thing is she has not self locked it at all she has no idea what it is (niether do it) thats why i am trying to find out what exactly has happened

yes thats normal for a self lock.

Had this problem before, they count as community banned, once unlocked they count as normal.

how did you unlock it? we contacted support and gave one of her game cd keys to support with her pass and email and other infos is it enough?

just game cd keys no it has to be retail keys with a ticket number added.

I gave support everything they needed, and after 55 days (Thank god it wasn't more than that) they unlocked it. If she used her credit/debit or prepaid card, tell her to use the guide on the article to see what she needs to send.

55 days lol? what the .... ? :| she has used no credit card on steam, only bought via steam wallet codes and the key we gave to support is Retail key it is not 3rd party games which shows cd key once you right click on name in library i hope thats enough?

the cd keys from the library can be accesed by anyone they are no good.

only thats good the rest is not.
never give out a password and steam support would not know if it was correct or not.

Just one time. Spamming tickets will not do anything other than increasing wait times.

i did not mean spamming, i meant how many times you contacted them like how long it took them to answer your first email then you add reply to it etc? or did they read your first email and gave you the first answer after 55 days?
