Condenser mic not working in Steam.

I've had this issue for like a year now. Never got a proper answer, so let's try here:

Hello.
I've been having this annoying issue for a while now. My condenser mic (T.bone SC 400) isn't working in cs go, or steam. It works fine on everything else, except steam.
The mic goes through a usb soundcard (Steinberg CI1) to the PC.

The problem is, steam detects the mic, but ingame you just cant hear a thing. (Also tested with loopback_1)
Another weird thing is, that it only works for a very short time, when i turn the phantom power switch on and off from the soundcard. Like when you are in a lobby and do that, you can hear the mic sound for like 0.5 seconds.

At this point im clueless what to do next. Suggestions?

try plugging it to input 1, i have steinberg too and it does not work when you plug it in input 2 :)

Hey, thanks for your answer, but I already figured that out by myself :D
Kinda just forgot that I made this discussion, but thanks anyways! Its solved now!

the mic was plugged to the wrong input on the soundcard
