Can't open or reinstall steam. I'm completely stuck!
I've got a massive problem.

I tried to open Steam yesterday, but all that appeared was a loading symbol next to my cursor for a few seconds. I 've tried all the tips and tricks that seemed to work for almost everyone; ending the task in task manager, etc.

I decided to reinstall, but when halfway through the reinstall, it says "Close Steam" even though I've literally gone through every task to make sure it hasn't to do with Steam.

However, I noticed that when I had uninstalled it, the steam launcher and a few other files still existed and weren't deleted. I tried deleting every single one myself, but it says that something else is up and preventing it from stopping. However, I've completely gone through the task manager several times and I searched my computer to see what that "file" was that was stopping the files from deleting.. but no luck.

Also, I went into "Details" of the Task Manager, and there were three steam things that were apparently still up. I tried ending the tasks, but then all I get is an error message saying "The operation could not be completed. Access is denied."

And after getting an unplayed game I've recently purchased, it's not very fun.

What are the exact names and paths off the offending processes?

Every process has a name. What are the names of that processes?
When you right click the process, you can open the file path.
If you are 13, you surely have parents, don't you? Assuming you cant follow me because you're 13,get your father here.

For some obvious, for some not: have you restarted between uninstall and attempt to freshly install? Also, do you have automatic windows updates on? It can make the PC terribly sluggish during an update depending on the age of your system (I noticed this recently especially on Windows 10).

Do you mean files? In the steam folder? Or things running on the system?

My Parents are just as confused as I am. xD

How do I check whether the Automatic Windows Updates are on?

And I have restarted my computer several times, attempting to install it again straight after I get on.

The names of these processes are Steam.exe, steamwebhelper.exe and a copy of steamwebhelper.exe .

And sorry, the load of your messages appeared quite slowly for me.

And where are they?
Also, have you checked if Steam is in startup? The task manager shows that too.

Steam.exe is located in the main Steam folder, and both of the steamwebhelper.exe are in the bin folder of the main Steam folder.

And nope, Steam is not shown in Start-up.
