Port Forwarding for Private Servers
Hi, I am having a problem setting up ports for ARK. As a matter of fact, I can't seem to port forward on this router AT ALL. I am partially convinced that the forwarding on this thing is just busted. This is my router: AC1750 Archer C7

I've forwarded ports plenty of times before for games such as Natural Selection, Minecraft, and ARK. Yes, my friends and I were once able to play on my server because the ports once worked. However, ever since I got this new router, it just simply doesn't work for anything.

ARK uses two ports, 27015 and 7777. Here are is a screenshot with explanations:

Here is a picture showing that I have the ports enabled. It clearly says "Enabled". I honestly have absolutely no clue why this isn't working. It just doesn't work. I launch the server, wait for it to go up, but it just never registers on any sites and my friends can't find/connect to it because of the ports not opening. I then go to a site to check the port automatically and still, it claims that the ports are both closed and it can't communicate through the specified ports. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I've actually been stumped by this for 4 months now. I've never had a concurring problem last this long, and that's why I partially just think it is broken...

Um... 192.168.0.1 is usually the router itself.

Yes? It won't allow to change that part at all. It has to be set to it.

That makes no sense at all. That's usually where you'd put in the server's IP address. What kind of silly software is that.

Here take a look. :S

And it's not software, it's the default gateway connection.

There's something wrong with those rules.

What does a new rule look like? The descriptions on the right show that the IP is supposed to be the server's address.

Software = router's software.

What do you mean by a new rule?

The new button. When you try to create a new port forward rule.

That 192.168.0.1 can't be changed?

Nope. It tells me it HAS to match the LAN IP. Which is the default gateway... >.< I've messed around with this quite a ton, imputting a lot of different IPs and what not, none work except the default gateway. Just gives me this: http://imgur.com/YieJSym

It says that if you put something like 192.168.0.8 or whatever your server's LAN IP is?

Does your router somehow allow you to change the IP range for LAN use? IE 192.168.xxx.1?
