HELP Steam Mic Test sounds really bad

Hey. I have a Blue Snowball Ice microphone. It works fine on Skype, and everywhere else. But when I test my mic at the voice settings on Steam, it makes a really bad sound. It sounds something like this http://vocaroo.com/i/s1uwV3c5nA8y (warning, may hurt your ears)

I had a similar issue. When you open CS the game sets your mic output level to 100% which will give you that weird feedback when you test it. Open the game up then Alt-Tab out of CS and check the output volume on your computer's mic settings. Lower to around 20% and then go back ingame and test. If that solves the issue then you want to go to "Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg\config.cfg", open with notepad and look for voice_mixer_volume 1.0 Change the 1.0 to 0.2 to set mic volume to 20% everytime on startup. I think there are a few youtube videos on this as well.
