On Steam Launch Windows Explorer Crashes!
I believe I have isolated the problem:

My computer runs fine unless i turn on steam.Ever since October 7th 2015, everytime I start up steam my computer gets an unhandled exception. my Explorer.exe shuts down. I can still use task manager and because of that I was able to endTask on steam.exe. and then start a newTask explorer.exe.

When I do that, windows begins to work normally again. Anyone else experiencing this?

I used to End Task Explorer to run RAM benchmarks so kind of!

Troubleshooting 101

Update everything
Windows
Drivers - Chipset - Network - GPU
BIOS

Stress test RAM & CPU with LinX/Prime95 - Any problems is your system stable?

Also post system specs and a CPU-Z Validator link.

Looks like steam just updated their software and I no longer have this bug issue... Everything is upto date. My Ram is 16gb ddr3 i believe. and my CPU is amd bulldoser... Launching steam shouldn't stress my RAM or CPU.

What is CPU-Z validator? Thank you
