Windows 11 update cleared all my steam game icons

I've read about this happening before with previous updates. Immediately after a Windows update reboot all my steam icons are blank. The previous solution was to right click on the files (.url) and select 'open with' and choose your web browser, which would restore all icons. However, this no longer seems to be an option as there is no longer a URL type in windows 11 and no 'open with' dialog. any ideas?

Found a fix posted in May by steam user Tigo. It's a powershell script and it worked perfectly, all icons restored, and I now know how steam stores game icons. Thanks Tigo!
