you're free to whine to the shady cd key shop you're trying to buy from when it doesnt work.
Thanks for your useless comment
There no way to confirm if there been any alteration as of recent, as there only one way to find out, but could assume they haven't done anything yet, then you would still be considered EU.
You want to guarantee that the game you're bying from a hobo behind the Tesco is giving you a 'real' game
How about you know maybe try not buying from the drunk hobo
Go into tesco and buy the game correctly
You're trying to solve the wrong problem
I have no problem with people wanting to save money. I certainly do that.
But there are plenty of legitimate site that allow people to save money without needing to ask questions such as:
"wow i wonder if I'm gonna be scammed"
"I wonder if this game is actually what they say it is"
"I wonder if I need to ask the forums if this game will work"
"I wonder if this site will steal my money value I have stored in it because I've been idle"
There's no separate package for UK so it's safe to assume that the EU version, despite the Brexit, is intended for use in the UK. In fact, the Region lock for the EU version includes UK as a whitelisted country:
