PS5 Controller TouchPad Defaulting to Start Button?

Hi friends, the issue is in the title. I can't play persona 3 reload because the game uses the TouchPad to activate certain movies but when I press the touch pad it activates the start button input. Does anyone know a way to fix this in steam settings? I can't figure it out.
