Got a random steam playtest link from a stranger for Deadlock
Is there a chance of this being a scam?

You can only receive Deadlock invites from people in your friends list. If this person is a stranger and not on your list....it's most likely a scam.

A real invite shows up in your steam client, the same way it would if you had been sent a gift... if that make sense to you.

Yeah he added me and I added him back to see what he wanted and I got the link.

The prompt proclaimed "You have been invited to join the STEAM Playtest for DEADLOCK!
Click the link below to accept the invitation!"
If it's in chat with that random dude, then it's a scam. If it's in Steam notifications, then it's good. It also come to email https://imgur.com/fdXd4zP
