Steam won't launch my games on Linux

Hello. I am a Linux user that runs steam on my games. I have an nvidia GPU as well. I used to be able to launch my games with no issue, but now for some reason they don't. The only changes to my computer that I can think of that I made were some updates and different monitors. Whenever launching a game, the game momentarily pops up before crashing immediately. Having a terminal run in the background yields the following error when trying to launch a game.

X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 149 ()
Minor opcode of failed request: 4
Serial number of failed request: 501
Current serial number in output stream: 531

Any help to get this resolved would be greatly appreciated.

Unlike Windows, Linux (POP) for me only supports resolutions as high as what the monitor is set to in games. So I will say there is the problem, you will have to delete the config files for every game unless the one you are using can be set the same as the old one.
