Can't get DLC to download

Hey guys I'm having alot of trouble installing some DLC.
This is the first time I've had this problem but I've been trying different fixes over the last few days and I'm completely puzzled.

I have bought some DLCs but when I tick the box next to them to install nothing happens at all. My downloads stay empty and I can't get the DLC to go into my download queue.

I've tried restarting my PC and steam. Clearing the cache, logging out, checking for client updates, repairing and validating the game files, uninstalling the game and reinstalling. I reinstalled steam too but no dice.
Also steam will still update other games, it just can't seem to register the DLC at all.

I've tried following any and all solutions posted online for this issue but nothing has worked.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Or if anyone has some other suggestions?

What DLC?

Some DLC don't install anything extra but unlock content that's baked into the game.

Oooh sorry I forgot to write what DLC.
It's DLC for Tiny Tina's wonderlands, a season pass and afew other bits and pieces.

Have you checked whether you can actually access the DLC in the game? Remember: your goal isn't to have something downloading, your goal is to use the stuff you paid for! So see if the stuff you paid for is accessible in the game. Assuming you've beaten the story, go to the starting town. The very first town you visit. There's 4 portals there which are (AFAIR) part of the season pass.

I haven't actually checked in game so I will do that tonight and see if I can access the other content.

None of the DLC will install more files. It's already in the game. The DLC just provides a license to unlock and use it.

Below is an example of Wolfenstein II's DLC components. Some have downloadable content while others don't. If a size is not listed next to it, you won't be downloading any more files for it.

The other misconception is that downloading/unlocking DLC makes it automatically available to use. The developers of the game may make that DLC available only until a certain checkpoint has been reached, or only in certain areas of the game. You'd have to research and understand exactly what the DLC provides to know when it is made available in the game to use.

For instance, RAGE 2 provided a pre-order bonus to acquire the BFG9000 early on in the game. However, users had to trigger the little event that would drop it which was a meteor that would fall and leave it in a box where it landed.

Well, it's still downloaded in the main files. LO-DLC would probably be a more appropriate acronym.

I didn't understand that some DLCs unlock content that's already in the game, and I was abit confused 😅
