Problem with friend's refund
Welp I am asking cause my friend is to shy to do it, apparently he refunded game 2 weeks ago and refund was accepted, he picked option to get money on his steam wallet and he still didn't get money back. Is there a way to help him? Every time I refunded something it was always there at max in 2 weeks meanwhile he already waited for past 2 weeks and still didn't get anything back. I would love if anyone could suggest what can I do to help him. Cheers

Tell him to contact support, only they can tell him what's going on.

To be precise I asked him and he said he refunded at 23rd of September, you think he should wait few more days and then write to them or just do it already?

Two weeks is unusually long. Even changing password only adds a three day delay. Asking the question won't hurt, worst case they'll say wait a bit longer.

Ask your friend whether the refund was actually accepted or if they just received a confirmation the request was received. This is really important.

What's stopping him from checking the ticket? There is nothing confusing about those messages, they clearly state whether a refund is approved or denied.

He has to be 100% sure for something like this. When you submit a request, you get a confirmation email of this action and when a decision has been made, you get another email either accepting or declining. It's important that we establish that he received an acceptance because if the case was closed without a decision being made then his account is likely compromised which is even more serious.

Your friend may have mistaken the bounce-back confirmation email as an acceptance and if the account is shadow-hijacked then the scammers can close the request and your friend wont know what's happened. So ask your friend if the request was accepted and they have to be 100% sure.

Aks your friend to watch there for the info about game/purchase

https://store.steampowered.com/account/history/

Or Support >> Games >> Title Of The Game (though don't know how it works there) .

If they accepted the refund there has to be clear message about it.
