As for call of duty, the way activistion has the game setup it looks like a dlc and count all of the hours. So you have to open a manual ticket to get a refund. Never do a charge back it will only end bad for you.
Charge backs cost valve money and is considered fraud. So yea it will get your account restricted and the payment method banned.
But i couln'd find a way to get a manual refund with humans so. I even checked on internet to see and i found out that there was no human refund method so i did a charge back on paypal yes because THEY were comiting fraud by not refunding me by their conditions. So now because i did the right thing they are restricting my acount for no reason. THEY are the ones in wrong by not having human support and by not responding to my tickets.
I highly suggest you follow the steps posted above to secure your account, once that's done try sending a help ticket again.
Seems like you are a guy wasting your time by reading steam post just to answer some stupid things like that
I have seen people say the restriction is temporary - a few weeks - but once lifted you won't be able to use the payment method you did a chargeback on.
Because you can't.
people dont know their account is compromised till after the bad things happen. steam guard is not a magic shield either. the scammers know how to get your log in from you without you knowing it.
we see people post about being compromised MULTIPLE times in MULTIPLE forums every day, people have learned what the signs are for it. tickets being closed without a response is a sign of an account compromised.
Burnt the account ? nope just can't use paypal anymore... there is like 10000 others methods to buy steam games... like still using paypal to buy steam keys on g2a for example.
You know what Fine i'll check with the steps the other guy sent and i'll actually tell you if it's compromised or not ( i guess it will be by how many people already told me on this post that this is a sign of a compromised steam account )
Yeah but i don't know how to pirate games and it's often FAR LESS expensive on g2a than steam
Incredibly enough... after the reset of password and remove everything off my account execpt this computer and removed the 2-3 malwares that this app found... The support tickets seems to not get closed for no reason anymore :D I don't know anything about malware so i was like no fkg way someone/something would just close tickets and not like take my whole account but seems like it was it. Thank you, now you can add me on your wall of people who thought there was no malware but actually was some just to frustrate me by closing tickets xD
