New online agreement popup
Anybody else get this popup randomly? I got one a couple days ago, and it asks you to accept the new terms. I have never seen this before in 14 years on the platform. The strange thing is, is that after I clicked "accept", there was an error message saying something like "oops, try again later". Seems kinda sus. Anybody else seen this?

I think I may have. I believe it's a scam attempt. If Steam were to change anything about their online affairs, they'd tell us through the client, not the general web
It's a new Steam Subscriber Agreement notice. For some reason it pops up different for other users.
It wasn't a web browser window, although I was watching Youtube when it happened. It looked like a Steam window, but when I hit the accept button, I didn't like getting that error message. The error message also looked like a Steam window, with the "oops" thing.

Thanks for the responses though. I've been hit with a scam before, and it's not fun.

I had that pop up yesterday and i was so confus and my account is 17 years old. I click acc and got the error 2. I been hearing a new law calif pass that will effect digital sells which i hope its not from that. A new California law will require online stores to disclose you are purchasing licenses for digital games, movies, music, and ebooks, not owning them.

Steam's SSA has been clear about purchases being licensed copies since the beginning of the storefront. So this is not in response to any law in that regard. Only thing that has changed is what you see in Hotsauce's link.

SSA changes have been presented as an account alert in the past. Major SSA changes don't happen all of the time, so it's not surprising that most people wouldn't remember it.
