Steam client top right corner bug

Recently I changed my avatar and name, normally on the profile page everything is updated, in the friends list aswell, but in the right corner, I still have my old name, profile picture and it keeps showing me "Offline" there and I don't know how to fix it

You sure you are even online top left corner,

Same settings in Friends & chat require it login then steam start , many have seen this to be de-selected.

I'm not sure you can change profile then offline. same as you cant see friemds then you are offline.

make sure there is NOT a "No Internet Connection" in the bottom of steam client also could be part of the issue, then not online.

Bro, my friends can see that I'm online. My new name, avatar, and everything else are fine for me as well. I have a visual bug in the Steam client (not on browser btw) that show's me old name next to the community button and top right corner + offline status just visually

Thats why i ask you, steam has alot of minor bugs atm, i suspect its this, but i said it might get back 24 hours later and if it dont, im sure you can see a problem with this.

I also assume it has work before untill they update client,

You can try steam beta client and see if this help.

i was recently kicked from a family share beta and i had the same issue but i fixed this. I cleared my steam cache by going to steam - settings - in game - delete web browser data after this i created my own family library share.

This is unbelievable, but I finally fixed this annoyance, following your advice! Thank you!

Looks like it is related to Steam Families Beta, as it was the only thing that could possibly trigger the issue for me. Of course, Steam Support couldn't help, and I was breaking my head over this for months. Exactly the same story, one acc is perfectly fine, another one is offline top right corner. So in the end, yeah, I cleared all the cache, left all family groups and created one of my own, restarted Steam, it worked. Months of suffering are over.
