This is a user-to-user forum. Nobody from Valve will respond here.

Seeing as Valve dropped Mac support for the cs2 update, it's most likely not breaking any of their policies.

Last Epoch Forums
For those of you with this issue, here is how to get it to work on Linux if you’re having the above issue.

Right click Last Epoch in Steam and select ‘Properties’
Click on the ‘Compatibility tab’ and put a tick in ‘Force use of a specific steam play compatibility tool’
Select Proton Experimental and close the window (game will patch about 4.8gb data)
Once patch is complete, repeat Step 2 except remove the tick from ‘force use of a specific steam play compatibility tool’. Game will re-patch with the correct Linux Binaries.
Do note you’ll have to do this every system/steam restart.

Does Steam still support Linux?
Nowadays, there's Steam. Steam brings the world of gaming to Linux with great simplicity and choice. All you have to do is sign up, install the Steam app, and start purchasing games or playing free games.26 Aug 2024

Which Linux distro does Steam support?
Important: Currently, Steam for Linux is only supported on the most recent version of Ubuntu LTS with the Unity, Gnome, or KDE desktops.

Correct. Dropping OS support does not go against policy.

You can always try.

But since it's not against the TOS as per Valves own actions, I'm curious what you're trying to achieve here.

Steam Valve is going to look at a billion $ lawsuit, I think, in the future which will put Valve under because as there is no regulation with this industry, developers can steal from you legally without repercussion, this includes games that no longer work (as a single-player game but this does NOT include MMO's and server-based titles as those are signed for by the customer in acknowledgement that the game will one day stop working).

Was it ever listed as supported OS on the system requirements?

If not then this is a risk you take.

If you're outside the 2 weeks/2 hours of the refund policy it's a slim chance you're getting your money back.

You can always try to go to a local consumer agency.
