Remove Epic Account Link?

Hello, I really hate the EGS, and it forced me to use a weird name... after linking it to FW and restarting, FW now uses my epic game store name instead of steam? Is there any way I can revoke access/link so the game is forced to use my Steam username?

Linking is done on Epics end, so you need to go through the epic client and/or their support to unlink.

Account linking is done from Epic Games, not from Steam...

You can do this on the Account Settings page on Epic's Website:

1. Sign into your Epic Games account on the launcher or website.
2. Go to your Account Settings (it still opens a web page even from the launcher)
3. Go to 'Apps and Accounts' tab of the account settings.
4. Choose your Steam account or other account to un-link from Epic Games.
5. Read and agree to the information they provide before you unlink.

^ You can change your Epic Games display name or other account info on this page.

Here's a direct link to the Apps & Accounts tab on Epic

(You'll still need to sign into your Epic account to access these settings of course.)

BEFORE YOU UNLINK ACCOUNT:
Unlinking accounts *CAN* cause loss of data or progress in some games. This is mentioned through the boxes you'll have to check-off before you can un-link your account
