Steam Store page, videos will not load in steam app.
Any time I'm trying to preview a game in the steam store, all of the videos on the store page are just black. I can see them for a moment but instead of loading and playing, they just disappear and I'm left with a black square where the video should be. Have restarted steam & pc, have latest graphics drivers, and the steam store page videos work fine when using chrome, just not in the steam app itself. Help?

Edit: Swapping from the regular Steam client to the beta client fixed it for me, as others have mentioned. Go to Steam > Settings > Interface > Client Beta Participation dropdown to change.

Settings > In Game > Delete Web Browser Data doesn't fix it either.
Tried it a few times and restarted Steam.
Something weird on Steam's side for sure.

Your pc is to weak to run steam. You have to upgrade your pc to run steam properly. You need a pc that was built in the last year for steam to run properly. Anything older then a year old steam will not right properly. I know everything about computers and it's hardware to know that this is the problem for everyone 100% of the time.

Have the same issue since yesterday, videos in browser work fine, but do not play in client. Is there any fix on client side, or is Steam having some issues and we just have to wait?

Works fine here. Using Steam client from July 17th, i've blocked updates with config file. I guess that is an issue with latest Steam version.

I'm assuming this issue isn't widespread as only a few people are talking about it.
According to a Reddit post, one person was able to fix it with a reinstall of Steam.
Can anyone confirm if reinstalling fixed this for them?

Apparently nothing solves it, I deleted the navigation cache from Steam, the PC cache, I even reinstalled Steam and nothing worked :S
