steam card from Philippines to US

Hi! Does it work if I buy steam gift card here in the PH using peso to someone from the US? I am planning to gift it but I would be paying thru gcash. Will they get the same amount (converted to USD)? or is it going to be locked and not able to use it?

If it's going to work, how much are they going to get with 3k or 4k ph peso to USD?

Physical gift cards are currency locked and can only be redeemed on an account with same currency as is in the gift card. USD account can only redeem USD gift cards.

As Ettanin above suggests, use digital gift cards instead.

Use Google or any of the bazillion currency converters on the net to see how much it is.
