Maximized window too big
When I maximise Steam it is off screen top and left, covers 1mm of the taskbar and bleeds into the 2nd monitor. What is the reason of this?

It's not easy to see but the top is cut off and the scrollbar is on the 2nd monitor.

The fix is even weirder, I click steam top left and click settings. This will force close steam, and on re-open it is fixed, for now. It will come back

Check either the Windows Display settings or NVIDIA Console and see if those window boxes are fixated properly because one time I had 1mm off and it was simply that solution - you only need to fix it on one of those locations not both - remember to click "apply".

→ Rt-click desktop and click "Display Settings" :yetuhappy:

You should also run SFC scan:

Win Key + X + A (or Windows Terminal Admin on Win11)

sfc /scannow

Thank you for the reply! I cannot find settings there that might affect it. It is just Steam, all other windows behave fine. And the way to fix it is also consistent, which is very weird to me.
What it was for me was the screen positions where one was 1mm lower than the other.

What you can do is rerun (not reinstall) Steam setup over the current Steam version but make sure to remember your client settings as they will default; although, nothing will happen to any of your games or saves - I would still run SFC however. :chirp:
