Game can't install due to "Game configuration unavailable"

I tried this fix and it didn't work.

Seems like it's only an issue with Portal: Lost in Aperture as I'm able to install other free games/mods perfectly fine.

Anyone know what's wrong?

I didn't search the error message (was already aware of those two threads) so could be something else around that's useful and for the current situation

I'm on Windows 10, so I'm not sure if this is my cause.

I think the devs just configured the files wrong or something, but there's no discussion hub for it so i guess we gotta just hope they notice lol.
