How to TILT a monitor ?

OK this is kind of a stupid question probably but i've already tried what my monitor's manual says.

So i'm trying to tilt backwards an LG 24MP59G monitor and the manual basically says hold the bottom support with one hand and tilt from the upper side with the other hand.

Already tried this multple times and no change in the monitor's position.

I kinda don't want to apply more force when tilting - afraid i might break something in it's mechanism.
